KidSuper and Havaianas launch a four-piece sandal collection merging football culture with avant-garde art

KidSuper and Havaianas have unveiled a collaborative four-piece footwear collection. The release merges football inspiration with KidSuper's signature avant-garde street style.

KidSuper founder Colm Dillane applied his design language directly to the Havaianas frame. The partnership builds on an ongoing creative relationship between the Brooklyn-based label and the Brazilian footwear icon.

The Top Turf Pitch Flagship

The centerpiece of the release is the Havaianas x KidSuper "Top Turf Pitch" sandal. It features a full green velvet construction. This material choice is designed to recreate the look and feel of a football pitch underfoot.

The model was first previewed during KidSuper's FW26 runway show at Paris Men's Fashion Week. Its unorthodox design connects to the "futebol arte" theme driving the collaboration.

Graphic Styles and Packaging

Beyond the velvet model, the collection includes three other styles. These feature original printed artwork by Colm Dillane. The graphics focus on vibrant colors, movement, and expressive character motifs from the KidSuper universe.

Every pair comes with exclusive co-branded detailing and specialized collectible packaging. Inside the box, buyers find a custom card with four distinct metallic pins for personalizing the sandals. A co-branded KidSuper gym sack is also included.

Release Dates and Locations

The collection has a staggered global release. It will be available at Havaianas stores worldwide on September 8. However, it launches earlier through select KidSuper and KITH retail partners.

The early release locations are KidSuper stores and KITH Los Angeles, New York, Paris, and UK outlets. The source did not specify the exact date for these earlier releases.

Campaign and Creative Inspiration

The partnership extended to a physical space in São Paulo. Havaianas and KidSuper restored a public football court there. The court was transformed using original artwork by Dillane and served as the setting for the campaign shoot.

Colm Dillane's personal connection to Brazil fueled the collaboration. He is a passionate football fan and former player who once lived in the country. He spent time at Esporte Clube Vitória in Bahia.

In a statement, Dillane explained his approach. "Havaianas is such a Brazilian icon, and for me that made it a really exciting canvas to play with," he said. "We took this shared love of football and brought it into the KidSuper world through color, art and a little bit of the unexpected."

The designer stated the result feels authentically representative of both brands. He noted that achieving this dual identity is a key goal for any successful collaboration.
