Apple Martin made her catwalk debut at Chloé's spring 2027 show in Paris on October 1. She walked the runway in a white ankle-length dress with a dainty collar, pleating on the torso, and eyelet designs along the skirt, embodying the brand's signature bohemian spirit. The look featured laser-cutting and ruffled detailing, completed with brown platform heels and her loose blonde hair.

Background and prior ties to Chloé

Her runway appearance was a natural progression of an existing relationship. Apple Martin was already a muse to Chloé’s creative director Chemena Kamali. Earlier in the summer of 2026, she was cast as the face of the Chloé À La Plage line. That campaign, photographed by Kamali, featured Martin posing in front of an oversized shell inspired by Botticelli’s 'The Birth of Venus'. On May 12, she posted about the experience, writing: 'What an absolute honor to get to work with Chloé...' She thanked Chemena Kamali and the team in the same post. Martin has also previously starred in campaigns for the label Self-Portrait.

Context: Chloé's spring 2027 collection and show

The show was designed by Chemena Kamali, who has been the brand's creative director for three years. Her designs draw influence from the music of Laurel Canyon, Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty, and Creedence Clearwater Revival. The collection featured prairie dresses, sweeping bonnets, frilled wench-like blouses, coquettish frou-frou skirts, flared cut-offs, and frilled bloomers. It attracted a notable front row including Alexa Chung, Emma Mackey, Camille Rowe, Natasha Lyonne, and Pixie Geldof. The runway also featured established supermodels.

Cultural resonance and industry reaction

The show's aesthetic is resonating beyond the runway. Chloé-inspired 70s garb like scalloped-edge bloomers, chunky brown boots, tasselled waistcoats, oversized belts, and tiny round sunglasses is now seen on girls in east London. Industry observer Isobel Van Dyke noted of Kamali's tenure, "The German designer has been at Chloé for three years now and has grown progressively more boho with each new collection." There are now rumours that Kamali might not remain at Chloé for much longer. Regarding Martin's debut, Van Dyke simply said, "It was bound to happen sooner or later." The moment has sparked questions about whether Apple Martin will become a runway fixture in future Fashion Months, as her presence in high fashion grows. Her next major debut is already scheduled; Apple Martin is set to make her movie debut in Nancy Meyers’ film 'Paris Most important'.
