Jordan Brand x NÒMARHYTHM TEXTILE Collab
NÒMARHYTHM TEXTILE and Jordan Brand launch an apparel collaboration, fusing Tokyo textile craftsmanship with athletic heritage.

NÒMARHYTHM TEXTILE and Jordan Brand have launched an apparel collaboration, uniting Japanese craft with global athletic heritage. The collection arrives in August 2026, according to an exclusive interview with the Tokyo brand's founders published by Hypebeast.
Founders Masako Noguchi and Takuma Sasaki spoke about translating their 20-year legacy into the project. They aimed to bridge sports and fashion with their core values of textiles and craftsmanship.
The Fictional Team "RHYTHM"
The collaboration draws deep inspiration from Japan's national reverence for baseball, not basketball. It builds on a story about a fictional athletic team named "RHYTHM." This narrative crystallized in an early meeting with the Jordan team, immediately defining the product lineup.
The apparel avoids standard athletic mesh. It uses dark, wash-treated woven fabrics across structured baseball shirts and utility trousers. These are designed to age naturally. The undisputed centerpiece is the "RHYTHM" team bomber jacket. It features embroidered floral motifs, graphic appliqués, and a detailed printed lining.
Craftsmanship and Key Pieces
A restrained black palette dominates the collection, accented only by the red Jumpman logo. Takuma Sasaki told Hypebeast they chose black for its strong association with Jordan. Wash treatments were applied to bring out texture and make garments feel immediately comfortable.
One of the founders' key concerns was ensuring details could be appreciated upon first touch. They wanted multiple techniques and details to coexist within a single garment. Each element should be felt and seen.
The collection also highlights NÒMARHYTHM TEXTILE's signature "Draw Your Garden" motif. This hand-drawn floral pattern is fused directly with the Jumpman logo on a lightweight bandana. Masako Noguchi said this bandana print carries a significance almost equal to the brand's own logo. Including it was an idea they had from the very beginning.
Roots and Resonance
The founders have personal connections to the brands involved. Takuma Sasaki recalled getting his first pair of Air Jordan 6 sneakers at age 14. "I remember how special it felt-almost like owning a piece of the culture itself," he said. For Masako Noguchi, baseball is a deeply familiar sport, watched on television with family almost every night while growing up.
This domestic connection was activated earlier in the summer. In July, Jordan Brand and the Tokyo Giants presented a project featuring the "Draw Your Garden" print. All players wore the full collection during three games at a packed Tokyo Dome, an experience akin to a major league fixtures event. Sasaki called it a very special experience.
Collaborative Process
The Jordan team had been visiting NÒMARHYTHM TEXTILE's collections in Tokyo and Paris before the project began. Sasaki stated their collaborative approach remained consistent: having meaningful conversations to build a deeper understanding. He expressed gratitude for the trust placed in them and for the team's thorough work testing and refining details, a process as careful as analyzing a team's stats.
To better understand Jordan Brand, the founders visited its campus and explored historical archives. Noguchi said what resonated most was the brand's open-mindedness and willingness to embrace challenges-a spirit they aspire to carry forward. The collection is now arriving for a global audience.
