Dazed published its list of the seven most-loved photo stories from its art and photography section on August 28, 2026. The selection mixes sun-drenched projects with waterlogged series as the season turns from summer to autumn.

Nick Haymes, Vincent Wechselberger, and Lin Zhipeng are among the featured photographers. The list also includes work by the late Bob Carlos Clarke and a profile of the niche magazine WET.

Nick Haymes Documents Family Life

Nick Haymes's project Chronograph comprises nearly a thousand photographs. Shot in New York and LA between 2001 and 2026, it traces the mundane moments of family life. Haymes told Dazed the work focuses on "very relatable nothings." He argues these nonsensical things make one aware of living more than big monumental moments.

Latex, Lust, and Luxury Bathing

The list revisits Bob Carlos Clarke's work 20 years after his death. The Last Dolls showcases his erotic, fetishistic portraits of women and latex. His daughter, Scarlett Carlos Clarke, said he had an ability to make inanimate objects feel human.

Another entry profiles WET: The Magazine of Gourmet Bathing. Founder Leonard Koren created the ultra-niche publication in 1976. It ran for 34 issues and featured celebrities like Priscilla Presley and Mick Jagger. Koren admitted to Dazed he didn't initially know what "gourmet bathing" meant.

Global Perspectives from Berlin to Mumbai

Vincent Wechselberger's series Catching Up on Lost Time documents a summer day in Berlin. He and artist Noam Yarik Gil Shuster reconnected after two years apart. They spent the day walking, biking, and swimming in the Spree river.

Mumbai-based photographer Yash Sheth is featured for The Monsoon Project. Sheth told Dazed he always goes out when it rains. His project has evolved into a study of the Indian monsoon and climate change's impact.

Bangkok-based photographer Chardchakaj Waikawee seeks "youth" as an energy, not an age. He told Dazed the city's contradictions fascinate him. He cited examples like a sex worker outside a Buddhist temple or a monk walking past a beer bar.

Beijing-based Lin Zhipeng (AKA No. 223) has an exhibition curated around the Qixi festival. He told Dazed he is captivated by warm light and sultry air. Flowers and fruit in his work represent transience, desire, and inevitable decay.
