Monterey Car Week is the pinnacle of automotive culture, where collectors, designers, and enthusiasts converge to celebrate rare classics and cutting-edge hypercars. This year, Eccentrica, the Italian marque founded by entrepreneur Emanuel Colombini, brought its unique vision of restomods to the forefront.

The brand’s journey began with the Lamborghini Diablo, a ’90s icon that Colombini admired since childhood. Eccentrica’s take on the Diablo retains its original 5.7-liter naturally aspirated V12 while modernizing the chassis, suspension, and body. Key upgrades include reinforced chassis, active double wishbones, composite materials, Brembo brakes, and Capristo exhaust, all while preserving the car’s analogue driving experience.

Eccentrica’s Monterey program kicked off at Villa Eccentrica in Pebble Beach with an Italian aperitivo for the Supercar Owners Circle. The Roadster was later unveiled to press and clients before making its public debut at The Quail, a prestigious gathering of collector cars. The brand also hosted an Italian-themed event, bringing together restomod enthusiasts and industry figures like Totem and Nardone.

The Roadster’s true test came on the open road, where press and prospective clients experienced its raw power and mechanical feedback. The week concluded with the Roadster at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, alongside a DJ set at Carmel Coffee, showcasing Monterey’s blend of automotive passion and lifestyle culture.

Eccentrica’s approach stands out in an industry shifting toward electrification. By focusing on limited production, deep customization, and driving purity, the brand positions its cars as collectible design objects rather than mere performance machines. With its Roadster, Eccentrica proves that sometimes, the best way forward is to keep things loud, physical, and unapologetically analogue.
