Nike's Foamposite Tennis Crossover Returns
Nike's Vapor x Posites are back, this time with a wider release.
The world of streetwear is always on the lookout for the next big drop, and Nike's latest release is no exception. The Vapor x Posites, a unique fusion of the Foamposite and tennis shoe designs, is back and ready to serve.
The Vapor x Posites feature the unmistakable molded upper and Air Zoom cushioning of the Foamposite, but with a twist. They also come equipped with herringbone-patterned outsoles, perfect for biting the ground and allowing players to move effortlessly across the court.
This is not the first time the Vapor x Posites have seen the light of day. They were initially released in 2019, but mostly at outlet stores. However, they have a predecessor in the Courtposite, a tennis-basketball crossover that returned as a Supreme collaboration in 2023.
The Vapor x Posites are now available on Nike's website for $170, in two colorways: "Habanero Red" and "Metallic Red Bronze". According to sneaker leakers, more colorways are on the way.
Nike is showing love to its court shoes, with the Vapor x Posites joining the Air Tech Challenge 2 and the Tennis Classic in the lineup. The brand has also released the Hypersmash Vapor 12 sneaker, a hybrid model that combines the Air Mag and Hyperdunk designs with tennis-approved tech.
The return of the Vapor x Posites raises the question of whether we'll see the Courtposite again. With all these hybrid models hitting the court, anything is possible.
